Trivia[]
- This is the 1st double-length episode of the spin-off series.
- There's also a video game released on October 27, 2008 based on this episode.
- Unlike this episode, Dora does not appear in the game.
- This episode was seen on VHS and DVD in February 2006 and aired on TV almost a year and a half later.
- Although this is a Season 1 episode, it premiered during Season 2.
- This is the third time that Dora appears within the Go, Diego, Go! series and the second time without Boots.
- This could be Diego's version of Baby Dino (both are about studying dinosaurs and the prehistoric times), except this is a double-length episode unlike the aforementioned Dora the Explorer episode.
- Coincidentally, Diego appears in both episodes.
- Boots, Swiper, Click, Backpack, and the Bobo Brothers don't appear in this episode.
- Also, Backpack wasn't checked in this episode. However, her face was still seen when Alicia mentioned that the Microraptor is so tiny that it can easily fit in Dora's backpack.
- Taking the latter's place as the antagonists, the Edmontosauruses cause trouble by making a strong wind, just like the Bobos.
- The Edmontosauruses are also voiced by Marc Weiner (under "Dinosaurs"), who also voiced Map, Swiper, and the Fiesta Trio.
- Diego does not ask Click to find the Maiasaura family in this episode, Instead, Dora asks Map for directions to get to Egg Island, which makes it his (Map's) first appearance in the series.
- At the end of the first Map segment, the phrase "First, we go to the (first location)!" is replaced with "We need to go to (destination)!".
- Due to this, after the segment is over, the phrase "Where do we go first?" is shortened to just "Where do we go?".
- The picture pop-up sequence, which is not used in this episode, would later used in the episodes Diego and Dora Help Baby Monarch Get to the Festival and Diego and Dora Save the Giant Tortoises.
- Due to this, after the segment is over, the phrase "Where do we go first?" is shortened to just "Where do we go?".
- This is Map's first appearance on Go, Diego, Go!. He even sings I'm the Map twice.
- This is the only Go, Diego, Go! episode in which the Fiesta Trio sing along with the Map. On top of that, the audio in which they sing "He's the Map, He's the Map" is taken from the episode "The Lost City" from the main show (both times).
- Speaking of the Fiesta Trio, this is their second and final appearance on Go, Diego, Go!.
- Also, they do not play their fanfare after passing the places.
- Speaking of the Fiesta Trio, this is their second and final appearance on Go, Diego, Go!.
- The Plesiosaurus, Lambeosaurus, Gallimimus, Pteranodon, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Ouranosaurus, Dracorex, and Saltasaurus are the only dinosaurs that didn't appear in the episode, but they do appear in the video game version.
- For Dora, it's the other way around where she appears in this episode, but not in the video game.
- The Al Rescate/Una Adventura song's role is taken by the new song, "Learn More About the Dinosaurs".
- This episode premiered at 7:00pm eastern time, as part of "Diego's Great Dinosaur Rescue Night", a primetime marathon showing three special episodes of the show that aired in 2007. This episode aired first, then The Great Jaguar Rescue aired at 8:00-8:30pm eastern and An Underwater Mysteryaired at 8:30-9:00pm eastern.
- This is the second episode where Corre, Corre is sung, first being Diego's Wolf Pup Rescue, except in this episode, they sing a different variant: Corran, Corran.
- Because Dora admits that she traveled all over the world, this episode most likely takes place after Dora's World Adventure.
- However, this episode was produced beforehand, as it was completed in 2005 and said episode was completed in 2006.
- When Diego says, "Louder, ¡Activate!" the audio is taken from Pepito's Penguin School.
- Speaking of the phrase "¡Activate!", this is the only time where Dora said it.
- An adaptation of this episode was used as a video game for the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, and PlayStation 2.
- Although it premiered in 2006 on DVD and 2007 on TV, it was actually made in 2005 according to the credits.
